Pickering Experimental Engineering and Model Society (PEEMS)
PEEMS is the home of people in the Ryedale, Scarborough and Whitby areas who are interested in model engineering and associated hobbies.
If you make models of boats, aircraft, cars locomotives etc., in metal, wood or any other material, then come and join us and share your experience and knowledge. If you are looking for a new hobby, our members have a wide range of interests and would be only too willing to help you get started.
Are you interested in learning about various engineering and related topics? We arrange speakers and demonstrations in a wide range of subjects at our monthly meetings interspersed with other functions.
We also meet once a month at our small workshop where members would help you use the equipment.
If you are interested then check on the calendar page and come along to our monthly meeting. We would be pleased to meet you.
Normally the society meets on the first Wednesday of each month – except January – at the Hungate Centre, Pickering. This is just on the eastern side of the beck, by the Co-op. There is free parking after 6.30pm in the Pay and Display Ropery car park.
